One of my better experiences with Perrot Minot. I didn't take any detailed notes, but I was impressed by this wine. The cherry fruit was pure and concentrated.

Recent birthday present opened on a Monday evening over late-night work. Dusky, semi-opaque faded red velvet curtains in colour...watery meniscus and possible hints of 'separation' that suggest it will not age. Nose is wow....really lovely, stinky Chinese tofu and Bazooka bubblegum in the background. There is some sweaty, over-ripe strawberries too. Palate is strawberry compote, lots of temple smoke and a very dry but attractive red soil finish. Little length but quite attractive if acetone-driven finale. I wouldn't trust this with further ageing....but I am a Chambolle-Musinginy ingenue.

Burgundy tasting (The American Club, Hong Kong): Lots of forest smells. Quite intense and better on the palate. Spicy, rich and even a little unctuous. Good acid and length. Patty likes this.
