Clearly past its drinking window at this stage and borderline drinkable at all. Rust bricking at the rim and a barnyard funkiness settling in on the nose and the overtaking the remaining fruit tones. Tasting with some hearty cheese but likely will pour and open something else. Still consumable but life is too short for wine such as this when I know better. Perhaps some remnant as a cooking wine but caveat emptor. Drinking from a 375 bottle. Perhaps the 750 and larger are not so far gone.

Running about a 50% hit rate with these half bottles. Opened 4, two were "cooked" and 2 were pretty pleasant. When good, this is medium garnet in color, heavy on raspberry, blackberry and some cherry. The nose tends to be a bit musty even on the good bottles. Took a risk on this due to low price during our visit to the winery in 2011.

Consistent tasting notes with earlier tasting although my recollection is that tonight this wine showed a little more fruit than previous tasting. Never-the-less, it is showing its age and diminishing as the fruit is giving way to other elements.
The initial black cherry and black berry fruits have given way to a frontal layer of anise with cedar and leather giving way to a hint of raisiny fig and touch of dark chocolate with firm lingering musty tannins. While perhaps best suited for pizza or heady cheeses. it was a great complement tonight to a grilled tenderloin steak with spicy pepper spinach and grilled mushrooms.. Drank from a 375 bottle picked up at the winery last spring.
Medium garnet color. Musty nose with hints of moss and mushroom. There is still fruit left in this medium bodied Veeder Cab. Mostly light fruit, cherry and red raspberry with a touch of oak. There has been some carmelization and the tannins are long gone. Drink this now. Godspeed was one of our stops during Mt. Veeder day of our 2009 Napa Experience trip.

At this stage and in half bottles, this wine is highly variable. Opened two half bottles. First was cloudy in color had a really musty nose and hints of carmelization which was borne out on the palate. Second bottle was crystal clear, medium red in the glass with hints of brick at the meniscus. There was still fruit evident on the palate and tannins were well integrated. Bought this at the winery during our 2011 Napa trip. Won't last much longer.

A good bottle out of a terribly inconsistent case.
