Fun to have watched this wine evolve over the years. Tannins are now very mild but there is still nice structure. Is drinking very nice right now and doesn't have a whole lot of time left (I like younger wines) Cherry flavor is now prominent. Note: cork is not in good shape and needs care to extract, also a fair amount of sediment so use a filter if opening now

Much different from how i thought it would be from tasting it 5 years ago. Had lots of tannins, mow mostly dissipated. Very one diminesional and very cherry, almost like Luden cough drops. Did not detect a heavy herbal nose that others describe. Medium body bordering on light. Not much finish. Will try it over several days but not expecting it to improve. Maybe an off bottle, hope so.

Decanted for 1hr. Strong herbal nose that blows away in time. Nice Cherry and Raspberry with good tannin structure still there. a little bandaid at first but that quickly went away.
Still has a number of years

I would consider uncorking in 2017 or 18 at the latest. This wine still drinks well but has softened with tannins and acid structure. The nose is still impressive but the wine is starting to lack a bold quality it had years earlier.

Splash decanted. Dark maroon, throwing quite a bit of sediment for a 7+ year old wine. Aromas of herbs, cassis and oak. Was very herbal at the start, but that blew off after an hour or so of air. Lots of cassis fruit, some plum, vanilla and oak. Just a delicious wine, entering middle age and showing strong secondary herbal flavors. Easily another 5-8 years in this one.

Little closed at first (p&P); subsequent days it opened was quite good (recommend decant or give hours of air in bottle). Fruit and savory nose and body which was medium-full;mildly complex with layers of black fruit, herbs and spices; good balance and integrated tannins; should last for at least 5 more years or more.

Love this wine. Cassis, cherry, tobacco and earth. Great structure, mouthfeel is very creamy and lush. Serious wine, built to last for a decade, but a nice drink now with an hour or two of air.

This wine is a monster...needs a lot more time to come into it's own but after a 90 minute decant it was beginning to really show itself...I will not drink another for at least a year but it's complex, big fruit and very very mysterious...I am eager to see how this ages.

Decanted for about 90 min, this continued to open over the next couple hours. Aromas of currant and blackberry with lots of spice. Flavors were of blackberry and vanilla oak, with some spiciness coming through on the finish. One of my favorite new wineries, and one I will revisit often!

Red Mountain Tour (Red Mountain, Washington): Barnyard notes are big on the nose along with raspberries and full pumpkin pie. Some light spice starts things off on the palate, followed by rich blackberries, plums, and cherries. Rich nutmeg and big fruit flavors linger well on the finish. The tannins are soft, and there is a faint amount of heat showing through.

Decanted 1 hour. Smooth Cab...you can tell this is from young vines, but wow, what vines these are! Blackberry and raspberry fruit, with just a bit of spice flavors in the background. Definitely not the depth of secondary flavors as a Cab from older vines, but still an amazing wine. So glad I have another bottle in the cellar. Will sit on it for another couple years...
