I had higher expectations for this bottling given the year and vineyard. Definitely not what I would call good QPR. There was a noticeable amount of heat on night one. Refrigerated for two days and revisiting half the bottle tonight. Nice red fruits as other have mentioned with some mushroom scents peaking out. No rush to drink but I don't see this improving. I'll stick with LSJ and CSJ.

Color appropriate for age with some bricking; nose is very good with dried red fruit, toffee; palate is light bodied, good acid and fruit but not as strong as the nose. 89-90

A reliable PC. Dry tan keeps this from higher score. Lovely nose, and lots of life left.

Ready to drink in my view, but no rush. Medium plus intensity on the palate, moderately long finish. Always a reliable issue from Jadot.

Decanted for several hours, but still fairly close up. Seems like there is a nice wine in there, but needs more time to open. Try in 2015.

2002 Red Burgundy - Sunday of The Masters (Richmond, Virginia): $60 full retail. A nice surprise. Dark, pure fruit. Fairly serious structure. Well balanced.
