Substance and elegance in perfect combination. Deep and profound but not heavy. Unbelievable long finish that lasts for over three minutes. Has not only many years but also many decades of life ahead. I bow down before the people who made this nectar and say: "Thank you so much". Terrific wine. I don' t know if this expression exists in English but the word for word translation from German is: Great great Sauternes-cinema! (May be in English it is simply: Big deal.)

Quite orange in nature, with more burnt caramel, butterscotch and creme brulee, than sweet, honeyed tropical fruit, this tasted and felt like its best days were perhaps at least 10 years ago.

Dinner (The Palace, Mission, SF): Medium golden-orange color; nose has salinity, slight coppery; palate is full bodied without being dense, slight orange, slight copper, sweetness is very moderated, clean throughout, slight saline; medium-long finish. Excellent, and it has many years ahead though is ready to drink now. This is very fresh, light, and balanced, and very different from the rich sauternes such as Doisy Daene L'extravagant and Coutet's Cuvee Madame. 94-95

Deep medium to light yellow gold color. Nose is loaded with almondy VA, fruits are touches of apricot, orange, ripe pineapple, lots of vanilla. Medium weight and rich on the palate, with beautifully balanced round fruit, nut, toast, vanilla, and almost a French toast touch of maple. Needed a half hour in the decanter to fill out the medium finish, which is a touch drying at the end. Need to try this with roast chicken.

Lovely, deep golden hue, super ripe apricot and elderflower on the nose, a bit of vanilla, wonderful body without being too much, lovely depth through a long finish, like a sweet lemon custard.

Paris - Stockholm - Umeå - Tokyo in 6 days; 11/26/2019-12/1/2019 (World): Woah!
Had expected it more elegant, but this is almost indescribably opulent and sweet. The acids barely manage to balance this golden, majestic wine. The definition of hedonistic. OM NOM NOM :-)
Has all of Sauternes' aromas plus that special "Suduiraut" spicy fervour and zest.
Elevated and amazing!
We saved 1/3 of the btl for a return tasting in ~February 2020.

This too was slightly corked. It was luscious and concentrated, loaded with apricot jam.

Distinctive and divisive. Christian Seely actually prefers the regular cuvee and so do I.
