Had with lamb Kabobs and the wine was overpowered by the food. Maybe past it's prime. The coloring was light, there were some berry and fruit flavors but not enough.

This wine was disappointing, as was the prior bottle (from 2 years ago). Initially tired and a bit thin on its own. We served it with (farmed) trout with a cumin, corriander and pepper spice rub and with turkey bacon. With the pairing, some cherry fruit flavors appeared, but still no where near the 90 points Spectator review. (Sadly :(

Anita: W/deep fried chicken strips. 1st night, pretty blah, a bit over the hill; didn’t feel like drinking and had 1 glass only. Next night w/strips, excellent, mellow, some pretty, ripe berry fruit, smooth, low t’s. Soft, good.

[paired with shimp/avocado rolls] unbalanced overwhelming acidity with a bitter finish. Didn't finish the first glass. Purchased at a store that I have since realized does not store its mechandise properly. Maybe a bad bottle but not eager to try again; though rates well in wine mags.

Bright disc. Light-to-medium ruby robe with red rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense red and black cherry aromas, with light cedar and a touch of brett. Light to medium-bodied on the palate, with light tannins, medium acidity and similar flavors as for the nose. Medium, slightly hot finish.

13.5% alcohol in this Willamette valley botling. Light colored. Green tasting with simple unworthy fruit notes. Some bitterness and acidity on the finish. 79-80.

Not bad at all for a wine "past its prime". Looking at previous notes, I don't think this wine ever had a prime.
Dried cherry nose, little of the oak that characterizes more recent Argyle PNs.
Slighty herbal, but clean.
Smooth and soft on the palate, with enough acidity to give it a backbone.
Stood up to a weekday roast chicken about like a Bourgogne Rouge would.

Quite pleasant for being past its prime. Let breathe for awhile and it really lost that harsh alcohol taste.

Very light strawberry and cherry flavors. Wine is past its drinking window. Sourness on the finish.
