Very ripasso, red fruit on the nose, some raisin on the palate, a hint of sweetness; did not seem to have suffered from cellaring; I couldn't predict where it is going but it seemed strong at the moment

I was more than pleased with the quality of this $10 bottle. Smooth flavor that went perfectly with the richness of the veal cheaks that I enjoyed along with it. Would definitely buy again.

Ripe dark berries, plums and prunes with a hint of pepper. On the palate: warm berries, medium body and very fruit dominated. The taste of alcohol is to dominating

Decanted for an hour, tasted double blind. A garnet red with a violet edge to it. The nose was rather bland, blackberries and some vanillary oak. Tha palate was also rather inoffensive, slightly sweet, not much tannins, dark berries, vanilla. I was thinking this was a cheap Spanish Rioja, but nope it was the other side of Europe. Quite a nondescript wine and if oak doesn't bother you, an easy wine.

Appearance: deep purple red. Aroma: cherries, strawberries, spice, vanilla, som dried fruit and oak. Medium-bodied with very nice acidity and low tannins. Cherries, strawberries, spice, black pepper, vanilla and oak on the palate. Decent length. Some bitterness in the finsih.
Fresh and good value ripasso.

fresh, well structured - There is a bit of dried cherry pits, blood oranges and some burned christmas spice but more than anything the wine has a bordeaux feel with szechuan pepper.

Cherry and strawberry on the spicy and sweetish nose. Strong scents of both vanilla and clove. Fullbodied and sweet, though there's not many grams of RS, with decent acidity. Oak and some leesiness in the mid-length finish. Altogether pretty straightforward and really not my weapon of choice.

Found it a good wine not a lot of depth however and little finish.

either really bad or a flawed bottle -- but can't figure out the issue

Nothing special this vintage. 2007 better. Thin and quite unintersting.
