Not bad, but didn't blow me away. Just somehow missing something but not in the sense of being too old, just didn't have the excitement one would hope for.

On first opening the nose is mostly sour pie cherry, currant, mineral and a bit of toasty oak. The palate is sweet clean red berries with a finish that is full of cherries with some notes of tart cedar at the end. With air the nose is developing some black cherry, currant and toasted smoke with the palate showing toast, currant, toffee and some slight cedar tartness on the finish.

Quite nice. Balanced and even flavor, with a nice sweetness. Clearly great with food, probably the dominant sangiovese. Should improve a lot with age, and really a tremendous value.

Great nose of ripe blackberries, plums and golden raisins. Tannins a bit acidic and finish had a tinge of lemon zest. Opened up wonderfully after an hour of being decanted.

Not a lot going on with any kind of fruit but a truckload of tannin.

Very fruit forward with plum and black cherry. Virtually no tannins. Nice wine that is drinkable without any real minerality.

Viscous dark fruits. Not much of anything else but the fruit forward notes carry the wine.

Still too young. Because of the Super Tuscan structure, this wine does best with food and will age another 5-10 years.

Very nice medium body. The tannins and acidity would likely done much better with more substantial food, rather than just chocolate.

Lovely wine with cherry flavors sharpened with mineral undertone.

Wonderful wine. Definitely got better as it opened up. Bold at the start, easy finish.

Spring Release 2010. Classic super tuscan flavors with very long, lush, but soft flavors. Great wine now, but will cellar well. Great value.
