Good. Dark purple. Not much nose. Cherries, leather and bit of tar. A fairly complex wine for the price. Drinks well with food and on its own after dinner. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Plonk>

bright dark fruit nose (red plum, rose petals), moderately sharp / acidic nose with alcohol just noticeable. zesty, active, tingly front-to-back. young / raw / green for sure, but pleasantly clean which works with the boldness. medium-light body, mild tannins, medium-light acid late.

Opaque deep ruby color ~ On the nose there's black cherry, blueberry, floral notes, oiled flint stone & lots of oak ~ The palate is full bodied with moderate plus acid & tannin with flavors of cherry, strawberry, black plum, vanilla & oak ~ Let this one open up before judging it ~A suprisingly interesting wine for the price

I bought this wine originally because it made me happy, like a good Burgandy, because my wife loved it, and because it was cheap. But most of the rest of the case was crap. Then I open this one and it is right back where the first one was in terms of quality and QPR. I'm not sure if the wine shut down for a period or the quality is mixed.
Anyway, lite red color. Red cherry juice with a touch of raspberry on the nose. Very lite-bodied with raspberry and some strawberry juice mixed in. Very pleasant. A tiny bit of bitterness on the short finish. A great everyday drinking wine.

Dark purple. Coffee, blueberry juice, significant alcohol, mulled black fruits and a hint of fermented red berries. Leather, overripe blackberries (the sort that have fallen onto the ground a few days ago), Medium-strength coffee. Good solid everyday wine, but I note that this wine seems to have significant bottle variation. Or perhaps it went through a shut-down period.

Straightforward wine that showed the basic profile of Mencía; red fruit, bramble and herbal notes followed with good acidity, rough but light tannins, and light alcohol. Not a bad red table wine for lighter meals but nothing to get excited about either.

Dark red with a violet edge, just barely penetrated by light. Red berries on the nose. Vanilla, strawberries, and a pleasantly bitter tannic finish with red berries, just slightly sour, re-emerging on the fairly lengthy finish. This is amazing QPR, but I have never had a second bottle as good as the first was.

Garnet ruby core, watery rim. Clean on the nose with dusty, medicinal notes, dried cherries and vanilla. Similar on palate with red plum and slight stem note. Moderate plus acidity. Light to medium body. Moderate, balanced alcohol. 12.5% Long finish. Great Bierzo. Excellent value.

Dark ruby red. Red cherry and oak with a mildly acrid/vegetative background on the nose. Notes of Red Cherry, vanilla, noticeable but well-integrated oak. The finish lasts for a good 30 seconds and is dominated by strawberries and vanilla with a mild vegetal taste at the very end. Lite-bodied but not insubstantial. This qualifies as what I call a "happy wine" - very pleasant to drink and puts you in an excellent mood of contentment and reflection. I would buy again due to the excellent QPR and because my wife could not stop drinking it.

Garnet red. Nose of room temperature grape juice. Decent, quaffable, everyday wine with good QPR. Dominated by mild red fruit notes.

Fantastic value, and a very unique taste. Has me interested to explore Bierzo wines a bit more.
