Occupies a nebulous middle ground between a Meursault-style and California-style Chardonnay. Noticeable oak, but its soft and doesn't overwhelm the fruit and mineral tones. Fuller bodied and slightly viscous, a hint of malolactic, but thankfully restrained to provide an accent rather than a dominant note. Aroma and flavors are muted, in a way that suggests this wine is past its prime. Solid, if unremarkable.

Followed our Flowers Sonoma Coast at the tasting (French or California Chardonnay). This was more obviously California, more apparent oak on the palate. Rounder and more oily than the Chablis-like Flowers, it was quite good nonetheless. The drinking window is supposedly over, but I think this could continue to evolve. We have good storage, but this was more complex than our previous bottle, and didn't seem in much danger at all. Would work with food, but one could enjoy just sipping it.

Similar notes to last time - smooth and well balanced; with enough fruit, oak, and butter. My wife scored it 91-92, me a 91. Fits our preferred style very well. That said, this will not improve, so drink by 2016.

Gold in color, with aromas of oak, peach, pear, toast, and vanilla. PnP from refrigerator, this wine seemed overly oaked until warming to the proper drinking temperature to let the fruit shine. Well balanced oak and enough fruit at the JJB price I paid. Very good length on the finish, with a touch of complexity. This wine paired fairly well with cod with a fresh veggie fresh. Drinking well now, this should go for at least a few more years.

Tasted at the Winery. Pineapple smell dominates. Very smooth and fruity sipper.

An OK Chardonnay. Not over oaked. Some tropical fruit. Pleasant wine.

It was pleasant, but didn't knock my socks off. A fairly creamy, oak-heavy chard, with some light tropical fruit notes.

Good enough. Typical GF buttery, oaky chardonnay that has some good expression, but nothing really distinctive.

Buttered toast, pineapple, and pear. Not bad, and it certainly worked with the homemade lobster rolls, but I didn't love it either.
