Half. Fading ruby to mid garnet. Bright. Attractive nose of earthy autumnal fruit. Silky, palate similar to nose, reasonable complexity and positive finish. Nicely vital. Worked very well at a little above cellar temperature in the garden with a roast chicken. ***1/2

Half. Mid to full garnet. Some sweet fruit tinged with an earthy development and complexity. A touch of licorice on the finish. Mellow and engaging. ***

From half. Slow-oxed briefly and then poured. Fruit still quite bright - cherries with undertones of earth and meat, with touches of sous bois; a slightly rustic profile overall, but in a nice way. Very enjoyable but needs to be drunk soonish to my taste - the last glass left for half an hour quickly became much more meaty/savoury to its detriment. ***

Half. Lovely deep garnet, full and vibrant. A worrying woody nose on opening but turns out to be bottle stink. Full nose of earthy, meaty Gevreyness. Dense, softly velvety texture, very plush and smooth but elegant. Not hugely complex, but a gentle spice and very cosseting. Lovely. ***1/2

Half. Nicely meaty, quite richly textured and finishes with a good core of sweet autumnal fruit. ***1/2
