Sineann wines and whole bunch of other stuff (Our home): Really delicious and ageing nicely. The exuberant fruit is fading but in its place is a lovely piercing minerality balance with great acidity. There is a complexity and layering going on now. While youthful, it seems to be in the the pre-teen years and doing fine. I suspect the screw cap helps that.

A very herby nose, with secondary notes of white plum and pluot. Full palate adding a grassy component, and a nice spicy finish. Peter said he has a slightly different NZ Sauvignon Blanc in the works for a house wine for Greenhouse Tavern that, if its anything like this, would be a great by-the-glass match with many of the dishes on their menu.

All in all a bit overdone and straying into that canned asparagus kind of note. But the only reason I notice that is because I am having it right next to Mohua. Otherwise it would just be big a tropical.

He apperently owns the land over in NZ. Very tropical and punchy on the aromatics. Tropical, bright, with forceful acidity but not too herbacious. In a phrase -- well done. I can see it at $17. Has a bit of a candied nose character to it.

Popped and poured from 57 degree cellar. Notes from 30 minutes later. Pale straw color, medium bodied white. On the nose there is alot of the typical grass, citrus, hint of tropical, but mainly candied lemon, and a little minerality towards the end. On the palate there is lemon, grass, and petrol/slate going on towards the end. The finish is a little above average (for a white) to me in length and there is mouth watering acidity going on as well. To me this is a good NZ style sb, not overly herby/grassy. Side note, not a huge sb fan other than the masterpieces by Didier, RIP. 50+5+12+15+7

Wines in Cleveland with Loren and Friends (Cleveland, OH): This was fantastic. A definite buy. Sweet grapefruit jumps out of the glass. Big, pretty, slightly sweet, smooth and floral. Gorgeous.
