Just a bit softer and smoother than last year, and still a stellar Merlot. Just shows why Red Mountain is turning into a superstar Vineyard area. If you don't have some Hedges Red Mountain wine in your cellar you are missing out on some of the best wine on the planet not to mention value.

Drinking nicely with time to spare. Rich, complex and elegant. Tests my Pinot bias. Black cherry, plum, rhubarb, boysenberry and tobacco. A hint of dark chocolate. Cant believe how good this wine is and could be better in a year or two. Stored at 56 degrees since released. Decanted in the glass for less than one hour.

This bottle was decanted for about 30 minutes. Nose and taste was excellent. Consistent with other bottles I've drank.
