Not quite as interesting as I remember the 07 and 08 (the latter of which is hard to compare considering Doug didn't make his single vineyard Sauv Blancs that year and put all the best fruit into the Sybarite), but still no less fun, flirty, and fruity. Lots of tart pineapple, pear, and lemon zest throughout. The balance doesn't seem to be what it was in the previous two vintages, as everything seemed to be slightly "off" for lack of a better term. Not flawed by any means, just not quite as focused as I remember it to be. That said, still one of the best American Sauv Blancs for the price.

Football and Cabs from around the world @ Howards (Old Greenwich, CT): Interesting wine. Good crispness and cut, but not without mid-palate sap. Decent, mid-length finish. Very Sauv-Blanc, without undue Chard-like richness.
