Still broad shouldered and very fit. Surprising lack of fruit in the palate given the nose. Medium plus acidity. Masculine yet a rounded finish. Old leather tobacco gravel. Velvet upfront with a lingering finish. Still structured and decent though delicate tannins. Feels French in the flavor profile but still tastes new world - not farmy. Fruit creeps in with time out of bottle. Feels like it still has a bit more time left if you wanted to let it ride in bottle.

Notes of Old leather, tobacco and gravelly earth. Less fruit than most California cabs. Still weighty and could go another 5+ easily. Mine was cellared at 60° since reception from the winery's wine club.

cellared at 55 degrees since release. perfect cork small tartrate. Deep dark blood red with long legs. Decanted with minimal aeration and consumed over 3 hours. Nose of rhubarb and cassis with touches of cherry. secondary notes of cedar and white pepper. Good jammy dark red fruit with dense overripe cherry with some faint very slight raisiny notes with a frame of faint cigarbox spices. Medium body with good smooth mouth coating tannins Moderate finish
From a bottle kindly provided to our tasting group by K.A., this deep ruby/red wine was serially sampled in single-blind fashion. It shows beautiful aromas and flavors of red currants, pickling spice, pine nuts and cocoa. Medium-to-full-bodied, fresh and with medium fine-grained tannins, it offers flavors which mirror the nose and are nicely persistent throughout the middle palate. The alcohol (listed as 14.0%) presents no heat and the finish is lengthy. This is impressive Cabernet which should provide pleasure for several more years. Drink now-2020.

Definitely drinking very well now. Smooth and rich. Long lasting finish. Enough acidity to stand up to food, but not so much to bite. Tannins well integrated and very balanced

Hints of tobacco and spice to the nose. Smooth flavors of deep, dark red fruit - black cherry, raisin, and fig. Present but not overpowering tannins. Well balanced acidity. Brought with to a restaurant so didn't have much time to breathe but evovled in the glass. Not an "in your face" but rather an artful cabernet.

Nose and flavor mostly dark fruit and loamy forest floor. Moderate acidity and soft tannins. Pair with truffled pasta or red meat.

For the price I expected more. Will likely be better in 5 years. Make sure this wine is decanted and has ample time to breath before serving.

Excellent right out of the bottle. Smooth and flavorful, continued to evolve through out the bottle.

Some old classic SLV tastes, including great tannins with balanced fruit.
