Garnet with ruby hues and medium viscosity in the glass. Rustic nose of raspberry, mint, herbs and sandalwood with a touch of candied cherry. Med-full body with explosive red fruit, cherry, boysenberry, hide, olive and earth on the palate. Secondary sunflower and singed tobacco. Moderately complex with delicate nuances around its corners. Striking balance of bold, layered fruit and textures. Long finish. Very impressive.

What a wonderful drinking window! Clarity of fruit - powerful - intense - subtle - depth of character. Grenache at its finest. A great ride that got better. Bravo

My favorite so far from Curt. Beautiful dusty big red fruit on the nose. In the mouth, first I get big layers of black and red fruit mixed with a sweet cocoa. Then I pick up the stemmy tanins and earth elements mid palate - but the layers of fruit remain strong. Fruit lingers on finish for long time. Great mouthfeel. Wow!

Why did I not buy more?? Just a great blend of fruit on the front end, smooth in the middle, and a great ride for the finish. Strong in all aspects. Wish I had more to taste in a few years.

Ditto on the massiveness. The smell is like putting your nose in a jar of vanilla. wow! Still quite young. Popped/poured throgh a vinturi...still serious tannins. That being said a velvety midpalate and mouth feel. This is going to mellow out with age and be an absolute bombshell of a wine.

Drinking gorgeously right now. Explosive dark fruit layered with earth and fennel. Long finish. Decanted for 1 hour.

Big, meaty grenache - this is so different from French or even Washington state grenache. More like Spanish garnacha.

Big and intense, but still with an elegance and subtlety. Bright red fruit core with a long finish of butterscotch to round out the fruit.

A real winner - running on all cylinders. Take that which you like from the notes below, add 'em all in, and there you go.

Knockout wine. Lush and juicy but not overbearing in its berriness.
