This 10+ year old pinot was quite nice, and had been the single oldest bottle in our D-G stock. Dan hasn't relied on Sanchietti fruit for some number of years, but perhaps will do so again sometime in the future.

Very good. Balanced with cherry, boysenberry and a little blueberry with eucalyptus on the deeper palate. Solid remaining tannins with a little oak and balanced acidity. The finish is a little short in fruit but long in acidity. A fine most suited to be served with food.

Consistent with prior notes and I did not look before hand and try this with a Filet Mignon. Didn't take notes but this paired great with plank grilled Salmon. 92+ Would buy again.

drank the other night and it was excellent ... very balanced and ready to drink. this was the best bottle of Sanchietti so far ... the '07 is coming into its own, and i am pleased that i had the patience to let this one sit around in the cellar (there's more in there too)

A deep red wine with good structure and body. I don't think this wine has peaked yet. Good and typical RRV Pinot Noir aromas but more body than many making this wine more complex, enjoyable and food friendly. Enjoyed with salmon and spicy, ginger scallops. Decent tannins and good acidity. Cherry and strawberry notes predominate.

i had not tasted this for some time. had over 2 nights with a '07 Freestone. the second night this was a treat. there was some candy-like flavors that were just terrific. it was a great surprise.

Popped and poured. Deep red; intense nose of berries with a citrus-like component. On the palate medium weight with blackberry and then a citrus, green apple like component on the finish. A bit disjointed but may come together w air. After a couple of hours this does integrate more, but still has a tannic/acidic/slight "green-ness" that seems to be a characteristic of the '07 North Coast Pinots. This may improve with age or the fruit may not last - time will tell.

POP. Deep ruby. On the nose, red fruits but balanced with an herbal quality; not sweet. Quite full on the palate with a lovely mid-palate depth and then rather prickly with acid and tannin on the finish. After an hour or so this smoothes out nicely on the finish. Unclear if this has the structure to age further but a nice wine today.

Consistent with prior tasting (I'm only rating this a point higher put it qualitatively is "much better" than the last time I had the bottle so maybe I over-rated before) - much better with airtime - opened ~ 2 hours before dinner. Had with a grilled Salmon Steak (brown sugar / oliver oil / salt / pepper rub). Great wine - Black tea / cola/ black cherry on nose. On palate, full bodied, silky, high acids - blackberry / cola / black cherry with a long finish. Great with food or on it's own. If drinking now decant. 92-93 range. Note to self - try with a grilled filet next time.

Ruby red color. Earth / black cherry / cola on the nose. Flavors continue on the palate with some nice spice overtones and touch of tannins on the very long finish. Medium + body. Excellent on it's own or with food. Had with Grilled Salmon - very enjoyable.91-93.

quite a wonderful wine. Served with tuna steaks. FUll bodied for a pinot, rich fruits but with some earth tones. and a long finish.

A little disappointing. The fruit was subtle: sometimes it was there; at other tastes it was not.
