- Yellow color and aromas of melon and pineapple. It's somewhat balanced with a light/medium body. Polished texture with a medium finish.
I did not sample. My wife used Vinturi My Wife & her good girlfriend loved it paired Grilled Chicken Breast on Ceasar Salad.
Aromas of peach blossoms, stone, mineral, florals and white fruit. Flavors of poached pear, apple, peach blossom and minerals. Finishes well; nice underlying acidity. 89-90 pts.
Aromas of white flowers, almonds, apple and pear; subtle minerally undertone. Balanced, with orchard fruit and mineral tones on the palate. Enjoyed with grilled chicken and chive-sweet corn risotto; matched up fairly well.
Consistent w/previous taste; added minerally quality on nose & palate.
Truchard Tasting w/Anthony Truchard (Gibby's Wine Den, Geneva, IL): The cuttings for Truchard's Roussanne came from Beaucastel in 1997. Production is typically 800-900 cases, though there was a litle less in 2009. Twenty percent is aged in new oak for 6 months. Pale yellow color. Florally, with clay and pear notes too. Well-balanced with rich fruit on the palate. Good length on the finish. A great little bottle- impressive. 89-90 pts.
