Nick's four wine pairings: Another nice bouquet. This one seemingly signature Boillot sulphides, with ripe orchard fruit, cream and touches of tropical fruit. On palate, I picked this wine as a Meursault but thought it showed 2009 vintage sweet, fully ripe and opulent fruit. Big and lush with that sulphur waistcoat not blowing off. I'd give this wine three more years, as a minimum, for the sulphur and oak to better integrate. A good wine, I'm sure ...

On the nose, Butter popped popcorn, chalk, mineral, oak. On the palate, alcohol heat, mineral, butter, oak and a hint of bitter almond. A oily texture with a good balance. medium finish

This was actually a very fine and price worthy puligny-montrachet villages. Has that special slightly pungent, delicous umami character, which I normally only find in very high breed white burgundy (I guess this is!). This has body but is neither overoaked nor too leesy, and has freshness to go a distance yet. Yummy stuff.

All the delicate high toned flowers and light orchard fruit you could ask for in a village PM, with just the right amount of acidity and chalk for refreshment. Why didn't I buy a case???

Ripe citrus, stony minerality and crafty toast. Impressive concentration, yet perfectly fresh and light on its feet, with a long and rewarding finish. Super pairing with butter-fried scallops. If only more white burgs would give this much in return for the money...

Young, fresh, steely but also a touch buttery. The fact that Boillot picked early in 2009 (as he often does) kept this from being too heavy. The finish was not resounding, but adequate. Some wood is apparent, but not out of place.

If you're anything like me, don't open these unless you're willing to risk depleting your stock in a hurry

Flott følge til en lett kremet skaldyrpasta. Ellers samme som tidligere..
