Exhibiting bright vibrant red fruit with aromatics that leap from the glass. Primary red fruits dominate the palate with, complex layers of spice, cedar and plum. Fine tannin and acidity draw excellent length giving the palate a truly rewarding finish." - Pooley Wines

Pooley Pinot Noir 2017 is simply delicious, sourced from Tasmania's Coal River Valley. It includes declassified barrels from the Pooley Single Vineyard Wines at both Cooinda Vale and Butcher's Hill, meaning that it punches well above its weight. Vibrant red fruit aromatics are complemented by primary red fruits with, complex layers of spice, cedar and plum.

The colour is a dense mulberry red with a purple rim. There is an instant aromatic hit of dark red fruits followed by tobacco leaf, vanilla pod and cedar spice. Savoury and sweet all rolled into one, the palate is expansive, showing mulberry, raspberry and dark cherry notes followed and tightened by the elegant interpaly of tannin and savoury spice flavours. Tightly wound in its youth, this wine hints at a long life ahead! Cellar for 5+ years.
