Cropping levels in 2007 were well below average due to the severe spring frosts that can happen in Coonawarra in an unusually dry spring. Much needed rainfall in early January revitalised the vines and set up even veraison. Berry size remained small and the grapes developed intense colour and flavour. Warm conditions returned for ripening and resulted in rich wines of great varietal definition. We only wished we had more!

Tasting notes 2018:
Colour: Nose: Deep full red showing some ochre from development
Nose Rich fruit showing lovely integrated oak and showing some cedar character from its 11 years of aging.
Palate Quite rich with full flavour, fine long tannins and good persistence. It shows lovely complexity. A higher proportion of new oak was used than normal due to the low cropping levels,

Oak 80% new. predominantly French oak.
Winemakers Paul Gordon and Tim Bailey
Alcohol: 14%
