The winery Dr. Bürklin-Wolf is the sole owner of this 7.6 hectare prime location in Ruppertsberg, of which only 5.2 hectares are classified as G.C. Location are classified. The origin of this location goes back to the High Middle Ages. The name Gaisböhl historically refers to a former goat meadow located on a hill. The southern location at the foot of the Mittelhaardt benefits from the favorable microclimatic advantages. Terrace gravel deposits with clay seams in the ground give the Gaisböhl its enormous body and a fine acidity; the red sandstone makes it particularly durable.
