2010 Covenant Shiraz
A major contributor to our Kilikanoon regional portfolio, the 2010 Covenant Shiraz superbly represents the Clare Valley’s unique elevated terroir and varietal signature. Another classic vintage for the area, 2010 was characterised by warm days and cool nights allowing ripening to occur evenly and harvesting to occur at optimum flavour and tannin development.

Along with the finest Rieslings, the Clare Valley has produced some of the most sought after Shiraz in the world. Handpicked Shiraz fruit was selected from six older vineyards, each fermented separately and allowed to age in small French oak casks for 22 months before final blending and bottling.

Appearance: Bright red in colour with youthful crimson hues.

Bottled: February 2012
Cellaring: Potential of at least 12 -15 years with careful cellaring
Pair with: Rich mixed mushroom risotto and perfect with prime eye fillet. Alcohol: 14.5% v/v
