This wine is similar to our '02 Estate Pinot Noir, with intense, concentrated flavors and ripe fruit, but with slightly better balance. We have no problems opining that our 2004 vintage of Pinot Noir from this vineyard is worth collecting. It starts with stellar red and black fruit aromas, in addition to sweet vanilla-oak and mushroom hints. The mouth has wonderful flavors of ripe and juicy dark cherry, spiced cranberry and a bit of mushroom, with the classic acidity always present our estate pinot. The finish is long and spicy.
