Notable for its bright cherry tanginess and acidity. Could almost stand in for a white at the table. Turned out to be a good solution at the restaurant where my wife enjoyed a seafood risotto and I had a steak. Tannins well integrated.

Aromas of cinnamon, spice, brown sugar, dark cherry, with a just stunning and lush mouth-feel full of beautiful red fruits, cinnamon, dried herbs, and a lingering finish. Glorious.

Had it again with grilled salmon but the acid seemed higher. Red cherries on the nose and palate and went well with the salmon, but not as enjoyable as in the past.

(Esterlina Pinot Noir Esterlina Estate Vineyard) Light red color; barnyard, floral, sweet cherry and framboise on nose; lovely, sapy, tart and sweet cherry and red fruit with rosehips, most Burgundian so far; medium-plus finish ($40; suitcase clone and Pommard clone) (WOTF, and WOTS for me)

Notable for flavors of tangy cherry/cranberry. Imagine it would go well with a traditional turkey dinner. Light, good acidity.

A big hit with lamb shank on Christmas eve. Cherry, strawberry and some raspberry. Clove and a little brown sugar. Very good. Should have bought more!
