From the winery:
6 Vinyes 2004
Laurona’s 6 Vinyes was born with the goal of reclaiming the authentic local winemaking tradition. With this in mind, the wine is made only with the Grenache and Carignan grape varieties from the age-old vines of six unique vineyards, selected for their exceptional edaphoclimatic conditions.
The wine is a deep red with bluish hues. The bouquet is intense, complex and changeable. At first it clearly brings to mind ripe plums and figs, all complemented by a subtle background of vanilla and cinnamon. The bouquet grows little by little as the wine breathes, and a balsamic undertone permeates the glass. Finally, the violet and mineral notes appear. An extremely mature tannin immediately fills the palate, saturating it with vibrant and lingering sensations. A truly great wine which will age well over the next decade.
