This does not seem to be aging well. Huge wine at 16.4% ABV per the label. It has veered off into stewed fruit and become port-like. Also, this has been stored under ideal conditions since purchased from the winery. I think these older, super-ripe Turley Zins simply must be consumed reasonably young or this will be their fate. Live and learn.

Gave this an hour decant. I don't know if there is some bottle variation but this was a wall of oak. Poured back in the bottle and put back in the cooler for the next day. Day two was same story. Followed for five days with some improvment. I have always enjoyed the Saxum wines in the past so I will chalk this up as an anomaly and try this one again in a few years.
