Thoroughly enjoyable - Golden hue and classic Rhone white nose. Oily, well balanced yet powerful - the first bottle soon gave way to the second, sadly now only one case of six left...

I love this wine. Still early in its development, but already taming the underlying power. Nose is full of cassis and black cherry which follows through onto the palate with a hint of vanilla, although far from oak. Still quite tannic on the finish - will benefit from another couple of years in the cellar although eminently drinkable already.

A wonderful surprise, particularly a couple of hours after opening. Restrained damson and black cherries with an underbrush background. Tannins relatively well integrated but will improve over the next 5 years. We enjoyed a case of the 02, but this is clearly a step up in quality showing the class of the vintage.

8/4/2013 11:54:00 AM - I just bought a case of "Paulliac 2009" from the Wine Society...I am wondering whether it is the same as the "...tour" you have tasted or the 2002 "...itte" that I have tasted at a Wine Society event some time ago. Not trying to spoil the secret just wondering if you can help me classify it!!! If you want to message me privately let me know....
