Decanted for 2 h (threw a fair bit of of sediment), served at about 55 deg with rabbit ragu and homemade pasta. Wonderfully interesting nose; paired very well with the rich ragu. Fun wine.

New year's Eve dinner with Jill and Tom. Drank with grilled skirt steak, salsa Verde, pickled onions, buttered pasta. Wonderful pairing (all agreed). Nice depth and body that held up to the hearty food. Earthy old world goodness. More please.
