At one time, this was one of my "Rip & Roll" wines, where you could wash down a plate of spagetti & meatballs or a chilli dog... ....it seems that laying this bottle down for a few more years as my cellar grew and I wasn't so apt to reach for the good ole stand-by has done this wine a tremendious blessing. Silky - smooth - balance - lingering flavors - - one would never guess this was a typical $18 chianti, let alone a Gallo wine. Wish I had cases left.....
