Intense ruby in color. The nose shows berries with subtle backnotes of violets. Flavors black cherries, plums are the introduction to this balanced wine, as notes of spice, roasted coffee and dark chocolate intermingle with supple tannins for a lasting finish.
This bottle is not quite worth the retails price of $36 (Safeway) but when you fin dit on sale for $18.00 it is not a bad bottle of wine.

Not as spicy as I'd expect from an "old vines" zin, but none the less still good. There was a coke tasting flavor and the tannins were smooth to the palate. Not bad for a $10.00 bottle of wine. The color was rich and deep red and the smell had a slight hint of chocolate coke.
We paired this with a nice New York sirloin and it was pretty well recieved.

Color: Deep red and clear - a little lighter than what I would expect for a Zinfandel.
Appearance: Big Appearance
Taste: Peppery wine with a nice hint of berries.
Texture: Full body, filling. Tannins are strong but pleasant.
Finish: Nice finish smooth.
I had this with a nice homemade batch of chili (using ribeye and no beans). WOW great combo. Very nice Zinfandel red wine. At $13.00 (Bev Mo - sell price) well worth the price of admission.
