Medium bright red. V faint bricking. Strawbs and cherries on the nose with just a little smoke. Taste is fairly thin but pleasant, with red fruit and not a lot else. Tannins are soft, and acidity is pretty balanced. Fairly fragile over all and feels faded (as it should be!). Always sad to find a wine on its way down... Still hanging in there, just.

Medium deep red, reasonably developed bricking but still fairly youthful looking. This is my final bottle that I've drunk over 2 evenings, and now at the end I'm a little sad that I don't have a few more bottles to enjoy - for a wine whose window supposedly closed two, nearly three years ago, this wine is in remarkably good nick! That smokey leather still dominates the nose, and the raspberries have been joined by some black cherries. Amazing levels of fruit still present in a well balanced wine with fabulous structure. Goodbye The Signature....

Last bottle noted was a year ago. This wine is still in great nick (as expressed previously). Bright medium light red, just a slight bricking at the rim. Strong notes of liquorice on the nose with some cherries too - demands to be tasted! Lots of herby fruity notes on the palate - the cherries are there, with raspberries too. Acidity is just a little more elevated than the last bottle I tasted, and belies this wines age more than the very slight bricking. I wish I had just a bottle or two more to confirm that this is maybe just on the way down now. What a lot of pleasure this wine has delivered over the years - always a touch of sadness at the final bottle....
