Ok, it has been in the wine fridge for a few months and I'm giving it a good hard review. Still a woodsy smell but not green. Has nice legs on it after swirling a few minutes prior. Slight tartness like from a blackberry and dark cherry, no heavy tannins on the tongue, but not watery at all. The taste does not linger on the palette. Still a smooth easily enjoyable Malbec.

I'm giving this an 89 because I found it really easy on the pallet and for an 09 it is extremely smooth. Whole foods has it on sale as part of their summer win collection, and I am tempted to buy an entire case. Not like a lot of other Malbecs I have had. Some have that woodsy or green taste, but this one has a smooth taste that finishes with hints of plums and black cherries. With or without a cheese it is great. For just a few pennies over $8 a bottle, how can you go wrong?
