My goal here is to drink as much unusual wine as possible and report on it. You will probably not find any merlot or california cabs here. Granted, strange to me might be strange to you. But my hope is that people reading my tasting notes will say "Huh, I've never heard of that one before".

Drank with my wife and inlaws on Rosh Hashana. So glad this one wasn't flawed like the last bottle. Slow ox decanted for about 5 hours. Should have done it more in advance, the flavors were silky and beautiful just about the time the bottle was empty. Hope my remaining baker's dozen will be just as great!

Second bottle of wine on Rosh Hashana. Went very well with the brisket. Bought 4 more last time it was up on WTSO, very glad I have 5 left.

This is an interesting wine. Not a daily drinker for me because it is so unusual. I didn't get any of the bright fruits, but there were smoky undertones and a flowery flavor. Nice to try and have but I'd never look to something like this everyday.
