Drank this a little over a year from my last one and time sideways definitely helped. I still get many of the same characteristics, with game, jerky, deep dark berry fruits, and wonderful perfumed florals on both nose and palate. What changed was how much more integrated and seamless this bottle was. This is great now but I see years of life for this with continued evolution. Damn tasty and an improvement over my first bottle 14 months ago.

No formal notes, but from what I remember, mostly dark fruited with some pepper, smoke, and graphite. Very mellow tannins, bordering on nonexistent. Hint of oaky vanillin there as well, which I don't mind. Decent balance with no pokey edges. A nice quaffer, but only that.

Did not take notes but my impression was of a good and smooth uncomplicated wine. No noticeable tannins. Pretty darn fruit forward some sweetness to it that reminds me of molasses/brown sugar and vanillin. Not the most profound Carlisle but good for what it is.
