I am usually very fond of Santa Barbara County and Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir. Not so much this one, especially not at this price ($28). This tastes like a $10 bottle to me. Too much oak for my palate. On the plus side, nice look, nice nose, nice mouthfeel, and with promise on the front. But at the end, not at all impressive.

I loved the 2005 and rated it Outstanding (90-95). I ordered a case, and got the 2009, which falls way short, settling into the "nice, everyday wine" realm. At the price ($27), I won't be buying more once it's gone.

This is a problem - $38 and I love it. Light and bright, raspberry with shades of white pepper and rose.
