A reasonably priced chard that hasn't been beaten to death with oak (yay). Not much on the nose, but taste was fairly lush and cremy without being overbearing--lots of melon.

Was walking out of Target and found this gem on clearance for $5.00. This was yummy, fruity, jammy, full of currant and damned smooth for the price--with chocolate, berries and spices on the nose--even though it barely spoke of a Cab in many ways. Sipped it and felt the guilty cheap pleasure! Just a fun wine while kicking off the heels. Quite enjoyed this, though part of it might have been the great price influencing my nose and tastebuds.

Cherry, little vanilla and tobacco on the nose. Fruit flavor was deep without being as strong as most merlots--little bit of spice. Thin, but overall fairly drinkable, even if it wasn't especially memorable. Opened up a lot better after a few hours with lush cherry coming forward and it sort of grew on me; turned to !$#@ by the next day--I'd probably try decanting it if I had it again just to see. I felt like I was liking it more than I really should, but it was enjoyable for the price.
