Garnet, very filtered, and simple. I appreciated the balance of medium tannins with some sweetness and fruitiness, similar to other California cabernets. Not so much complexity. It's budget-priced at $14/bottle, but imho a good value. Would accept and even seek this out the next time I'm looking for a budget cab.

Garnet, very filtered, and simple. Heavy in tannins and dry, this lacks the sweetness/fruitiness that I'm accustomed to from drinking Napa and Sonoma cabernets. Not so much complexity. I later discovered it's inexpensive at $10/bottle, but imho not a value, and I declined this wine the next time it was offered. Clearly, ungrafted roots are not a major boon to the taste nor aroma of a wine.

It tasted too thin/watery on the first couple sips, but the flavor seemed to build up upon subsequent sips. A simple, fruity wine.. good to drink with or without food.
