Rich and robust, demanding attention on the palate. Finish is long and strong. U can almost taste the alcohol. A punch in the face that is not for everyone.

a wine that is balanced well with oak and fruits, neither is too strong or overpowering. nice and crisp, subtle lemon grass and grapefruits, although you'd have to focus to really pinpoint each fruit. classic napa sauv blanc style from the first si[. very different from new Zealand sauv blanc.

asked salesman for a punch in the face. was skeptical of a Washington state wine and it was a blend, but salesman insisted it was mostly cab blended. for me, the finish was too easy, low tannins and acidity, quickly fading, not chewy. The body has decent complexity and a fair amount of fruit, touch of oak. I could see this as a good wine in not so serious situations, such as dinners with casual wine drinkers. for my own palate, it wasn't a punch in the face.
