It comes from a cooler area in Santa Maria Valley to make this wine a little more like France's cool climate Syrah and inspired by Cote Rôtie. Similar to the Hommage à nos Pairs it was also co-fermented with Viognier, fermented with stem, the texture of this wine is outstanding that will age for more than a decade. This exquisite blend is reminiscent of Margaux Appellation; the texture is lovely with grains of high-quality tannins making the finish seamless. This wine presents a large percentage of grapes from the estate with the famous clone, Tokalon, the remaining from Parrish, Brecon, Newly Gateway Vineyards, and Petite Verdot from L'Aventure and Brecon Estates.
It has aged 90% new oak and 10% once used oak.
