Have had this bottle since release. Was worried that it would be far past prime. Very pleasantly surprised. Cork disintegrated but after dealing with that it presented with dark cherry fruit, coriander and slight earthiness.

I bought a case of this one to "buy the 2010 vintage". This is the first one I've drunk. Decanted 90 minutes before consuming with steak. Dark fruit on nose and palate. Lacks differentiation on palate and finish but some notes of plumb, cassis and black pepper. Good balance. Last glass an hour after dinner was decidedly better than earlier as the finish had softened, lengthened and added more complex dark fruit and earthy notes.

We have a lot of H3 Chard around the house as table wine. The 2008 was always good and after drinking last bottle of it, I remember why. Best balance of all the vintages since. And the aging gaving it some concentration of honeysuckle that lingered on finish. For a gigantically mass-produced wine, the 2008 H3 Chard was certainly an outlier for quality. And great value of course.
