Opened the bottle two hours before drinking on a weeknight with sliced ribeye on arugula with rosemary toasts. Hints of smoke, some ripe fruit, but I felt like this was quite tight for longer than expected, despite the noted open time. Nothing to write home about here. In my opinion, slightly too tannic for a Malbec Reserva. With that said, for 10 euros, you could do worse.

Notes of ripe red fruits, with some nice complexity showing through--all the while never going over the top in the oak or fruit direction. This is a great value--one of my go-to wines for dinner parties and picnics. For me, the '07 slightly outshines the '08, but both are worth grabbing if you see one on the shelf.

To me, this is what, conceivably, a Mediterranean Pinot Noir would taste like. Quite smooth and pleasantly fruity on the start, with a nice kick of acidity on the finish. I drank this at Vinoteca in London with some marinated olives and couldn't complain one bit. It has hints of that "layered" feel you get with much more expensive wines, which is a telltale sign of QPR for me.
