Wow, hats off to Nick and his partners. Always questioned the cellar pallet around this wine. Thoroughly enjoyed the way it’s all come together after so many years. Dark plums, coffee, hint of tobacco all seamlessly woven together. Vale Nick

Enjoyed this wine at the end of a long CNdP lunch, following 2007 Vieux and a 2003 Pegau. Both CNdPs were superb examples of this region with wonderfully developed characters and great length, albeit that the Pegau needed 2hrs+ in the decanter to wake from its long slumber. The surprise of the day was how well the Mourchon presented in this esteemed company with a few suggesting it was the wine of the day. It's conceivable that the number of bottles prior tilted our palates to the less subtle but regardless this was a great wine. Unfortunately my last bottle so not trying to hunt down more to hide in the back of the cellar for a decade or more.

Opened this bottle with Friday night pizza expecting it to be well past its best. Could not have been more wrong. It was rich and full of life with all of the power, layered finesse and length of a fine CNDP. Suspect this wine has 2-3 years life left before it fades. Regretting having drunk the other bottles too early years ago.
