A youthful crimson in appearance, this has roast coffee, blackcurrant and red fruit on the nose. Sweet fruit leads the advance on the palate and reveals cassis, oak, mineral and very well managed tannins. The mouthfeel is harmonious and silky, even at this early stage and this would be a dream with a duck breast or roast squab.

Quite deep purply ruby colour leads into a red fruit and violet nose. This floral aspect of Pinot is something that many great young Pinots share. Slight sweet fruit attack in the mouth, good, though youthfull tannins and delicate creaminess and oak blends with the evident minerality on the finish. Quite long and silky finish with plenty of upside for ageing.

Pretty, pale crimson in colour, so lives up to the name in that respect. Powerful aromas of strawberry fruit and some spice launch an assault on the senses. On the palate there are tannins, very slightly bitter on the finish and good, refreshing acidity making this a food wine par excellence for the summer`s seasonal produce, including the last of the asparagus and later on mackerel and herring, salmon and even pink grilled lamb. Very tasty and a good, long finish too.
