Fruit on opening quickly vanished. Clear dark ruby brick notes. Strong tannic backbone persists. Aged after a day even on argon. need to drink the rest now(!).

Discovered hiding in a back corner. Still drinking quite well - closed on opening, hints of red fruit persist; clear ruby slight brick tint. Dry tannins consistent finish. Astoundingly good for its 16 years!

Bright red fruit; purple/ruby rim still quite fresh. Opened bright and deepens in the glass. Spices come forward first, followed by oak. Long finish and pronounced acidic backbone that balances the other characters. Continues to evolve in the glass decanting would help but I’ll be drinking it over the next few days so it goes on argon for the duration. Still some life here even in 2021…
