Exceptional Shiraz. The balance in oak, tannins and fruit is right in my wheelhouse for taste. Great color, aromatics and a long finish. Definitely putting some away in the cellar. QPR was through the roof but that's not fair as I scored an exceptional price through a friend.
Heck and I'm not even a big Shiraz fan.

Might need to drink more of this to get to know it better sometimes it takes a case to really know a wine. Seems disjointed with all the right taste elements but they were definitely not working together at this young age. I'm guessing time will cure that problem but I'm not convinced. I have had older vintages that led me to buy the 2011 and I have to say I did not get a strong sense the 2011 will age as well.

Well balanced tannins, oak and acid. Smooth dark berry fruit. Lengthy on the palate. Aromatics were pleasant but not bursting on the nose. Nice color. Very approachable wine for a young vintage I would buy this wine again even though it was a bit pricey in the balance of QPR.
