Outstanding and cellar-worthy, this unfolded over a couple hours and probably had a couple more hours of unfurling to go, but it was just too drinkable to wait. Texas wine from Texas grapes, this shatters a lot of conventions and pre-conceived notions.

Learned on this bottle that the hard double decant and a minimum two hour breathing time are essential. We popped and let sit for an hour in bottle and it was just opening up at the two hour mark in glass. If you aerate and let it breathe enough, it is phenomenal. If you don’t, it will stay cloaked and acidic.
Drank the first of three of these in my cellar over about three hours after a double decant. Not fair to score this right now as it is a baby, but it was enjoyable and we may buy more for the cellar. I’ll drink the rest over 10 years.
