Although I preferred the much leaner 2021, I think this vintage will appeal more widely to someone who is used to buying $20 domestic Chardonnay. Definitely from a cool climate, but with some leesy richness and more noticeable influence from oak than last year. I think this remains a really well-made wine and an outstanding value in the United States Chardonnay space, albeit one I'll be drinking less often than last year.

Juicy red fruit on a fairly lean, well-framed palate. Hint of green herbaceousness (but not in an under-ripe way). Lovely aromatics: floral, herbal, red apple skin. Enough stemmy tannins to not just be glou glou. I feel like this is a great wine for a wine geek to share with non wine people & everyone would be pretty happy.
