Picked up a couple of these from RWC "bin end" sale last March, opened one up last night for Christmas dinner. Still some bright cheery fruit in there. Took several hours to open up and reach potential. Tons of sediment means this bottle needs a very careful decant.

I liked this more than some. The very short cork was black at the top end, and more clear at the bottom, popped out most easily, but the wine was crystal clear. At first seemed a bit tired, but got better over the evening, very smooth, sweetish in a good way. Straw clear and literally viscous in the glass; complex nose, honey, mown hay, resin, dust, perhaps a hint of airplane model glue or turpentine but only enough of that to offset the sweet fruits. Full body with again honey notes but also candied white fruits. Smooth finish that really lingers, a mix of the above flavors, with an appealing warmth. Worked well with the homemade Indian food. Almost a desert wine, but went very well with spicy food. Good QPR from Garagiste.

On the PnP pretty in the glass and fresh fruity flavor, but after an hour or so almost too sour to drink. Not sure if my taste or the bottle was evolving, but I would not buy this again, esp. at the $15 price point.
