I bought a couple of bottles of Musar primary because my wife is of Lebanese descent. I am a Bordeaux lover but thought I would try this. It certainly won me over. Loved this wine. Earthy and has some Bordeaux characteristics but is quite different at the same time. I will do some research on this and buy the next good vintage. This was well worth the experiment. Damn..I hate it when my wife is right!!

I am a Bordeaux fan but I have to admit, this is a great wine. I bought a half case of this at the urging of friend who is a California wine advocate. Just opened my first bottle. It was at least as good as any Bordeaux I have had in the past few years.

As some other reviewers have said, it is certainly not a fine Bordeaux and I always seem to have a predisposition to Bordeaux but I have been trying to get into good Italian wine.Have grown to like Super Tuscans and I am happy I bought a few cases of 97 that I am still drinking. This is not a like the Tuscans either...has a bit of a smokey flavor but I always find myself enjoying this wine for its own unique character.
